It’s a conversation piece, but,
I’m a photographer and I received this for my birthday. I wanted one, so I was excited to get it, but I was a little disappointed with it as a mug.
The first thing is that the epoxy sticker on the side came off in the dishwasher the first time I washed it. So I realized that it’s not to go in the dishwasher. And I was able to glue the sticker back on, so that wasn’t a huge issue.
The worst thing is that it doesn’t really keep the coffee warm. I have other travel mugs that keep coffee pretty warm for hours, but with this one my coffee was cold, cold, cold within 30 minutes. This can actually be a good thing when you want to drink your coffee right away.
Another minor annoyance is the bottom ring (where the lens would actually attach to a camera) is removable. If you forget to unscrew it and let it dry out after washing, it will leak water.
Still, a very cool gift and amusing.

I was SO excited to be able to finally order one of these. I am a photographer with a heavy caffine addiction so this was PERFECT. I got it and the cup itself was filthy with dust and debris, and the inside of the cup had black smears in it that were very hard to clean. The smell was overwhelming of oil and plastic. Suddenly I did not feel safe drinking out of it. Then the great part happened.. the metal/plastic NIKON label popped right off. I tried glueing it back on like the other people suggested but it wouldn’t stick and I got glue all over the mug (my fault but disappointed I had to even attempt to use my kindergarten gluing skills in the FIRST place). So right now it’s soaking in hopes I can pick off the glue and try again. I guess if all else fails I can plant a flower in it.
